Celtic Tattoo Trinity
What do I need to know about getting my first tattoo?
I am 25, and want to get my first (and probably only) tattoo. I want a Celtic Trinity knot at the base of my hairline on the back of my neck. What can you tell me about it? I know it’s gonna hurt, I can deal with that, but do you have any good advice for me?

I am going into teaching myself and already have one. I’m saving my neck tattoo for when I’m way older so that a job isn’t in jeopardy possibly. Have you thought about on your foot or rib cage or back? It would be eaiser to hide just incase your boss does care.
Eat a good, healthy meal before you go but not right before, give your body some time to digest. Take a bottle or water or a pop along to drink if the position permits it and you get thirsty. I had a friend with me and that helped, we talked and it kept me distracted for the most part other than when I watch him for a bit. Do not get drunk or drink any alcohol first or take any pain killers in advance. If the artist suspects that you have he may not do the tattoo at the time. Stay calm and it will be fine.Follow aftercare instructions you are given, most I’ve talked to say no neosporin or vaseline. White unscented lotion or A&D, do not pick at scabs (normal) and keep sun exposure limited as well as time in water until it’s completely healed. Your artist may have different instructions but those seem to be common among most artists so far. Good luck, hope it turns out how you want!
